EFT Services

The Education Futures Trust is dedicated to supporting and helping children and families. We run various projects and courses which improve life chances and build resilience and confidence.

For children, we run forest schools, Shore Academy, after-school clubs and holiday activities. Our holiday activities include arts and crafts, and a range of sports, wide-games and outdoor learning activities at our site, The Firs.

For adults, we provide cooking courses, DIY, outdoor learning and wellbeing courses which help to improve confidence and develop skills. We also provide family learning courses as an opportunity for parents to learn new activities that they can get involved in with their children.

Keywork and Family Support

This newly developed service will offer offsite therapeutic provision to address the issues in pupils who struggle to manage in school for a range of reasons, e.g. self-esteem, loss and separation, friendship, anxiety, and making positive choices.

Sport and Clubs

Our fully-funded sports sessions are for local children and adults. Courses take place in venues across Hastings and St. Leonards.

Literacy Support

EFT delivers a range of educational activities and offers 1:1 literacy support in schools for those who are identified as 'reluctant' readers or who are reading below the expected level for their age, among other opportunities.

Outdoor Learning

Outdoor learning courses are based on developing self-esteem, confidence, independence and responsibility in children and adults of all ages and ability. This is achieved through inspirational, stimulating, hands-on, outdoor experiences in a woodland environment.

Food Hamper Network

We provide regular fortnightly food hampers, including ambient items, fresh fruit, veg and bread to households in need.

Health & Wellbeing

We offer fully-funded mental health and wellbeing sessions for local adults. Our courses take place in outdoor green spaces across Hastings and St. Leonards all year round.
