Volunteer at EFT

Edited - Rae Edwards.jpg

EFT is always keen to have volunteers who can bring new skills and ideas to our organisation. We are grateful for as little or as much time as you have available and in return will offer you ongoing support and training.

If you’ve never volunteered before but are considering giving it a go then there are many ways in which it can benefit you. You can give back to the community, meet new friends, help improve your town and the life chances of those in it.

“I am proud to be part of the groups and it’s a two-way ticket. I get out as much as I put in. The group makes the week special and it’s something to look forward to for the volunteers”

Outdoor Learning Volunteer

EFT seeks to recruit volunteers who are passionate, have a willingness to learn, and have a welcoming, compassionate, non-judgemental and helpful approach.

Latest News

Alan & Teri

This week we awarded two of our Outdoor Learning and Conservation volunteers, their volunteer awards. They are both regulars in our Advanced Without Walls Volunteer group, building items using DIY skills such as hedgehog houses and readying our site to make sure it is accessible and safe for clubs and courses. They both helped out during the summer with our HAF holiday club, ensuring children could take part and have fun in all activities. Alan received his Silver award and Teri her Bronze award. Congratulations to them both!

Zach

Over the past 6 years, volunteer Zach has worked hard donating his time and showing his skills and this month has achieved his Platinum EFT Volunteer Awards. Read Zach's story here

Whilst undertaking any of our volunteer roles you can also take on our Volunteer Awards, with Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum to achieve. These are designed to be fun and help you learn your role, building confidence and experiences.

To find out more about our roles, please see our volunteer handbook.
